BBC SPORTS PRESENTER AND CROWN COURT JUDGE NICLAS PARRY WHO REPRESENTS PAEDOPHILES AND BLAMES RAPE VICTIMS |
To:
Judge Niclas Parry, Caenarfon Crown Court
Judge Niclas Parry, Caenarfon Crown Court
I am writing to ask you to publicly apologise for, and retract your
comments to the rape victim of Anthony Parry that she 'let herself down
badly' (reported December 14 2012, BBC News). To focus on the behaviour
of the victim whilst sentencing a guilty rapist sends out the message
that rape is partially the victim's fault. This is particularly
concerning in light of the recent Home Office report which found that
rape conviction rates remain pitifully low, and that many victims are
afraid to report rape because they fear them will be blamed.
Disbelieving or victim-blaming attitudes from members of the criminal justice system have regularly been cited as a factor in discouraging rape victims from coming forward, so it is particularly disappointing that an influential figure such as yourself felt the need to imply that women are to blame for being raped if they have been drinking. This will only contribute to a culture where victims remain afraid to come forward and rapists continue to go unpunished.
Your words also go directly against one of the main premises of the Sexual Offences Bill 2003, as described in the Stern Report 2010 - namely that "sex without consent is always rape and all other factors about a person making a complaint of rape are irrelevant to that central fact". (The Stern Review 2010, Page 14)
Apologise for and retract your victim-blaming comments to this woman, and instead use your power as a member of the judiciary to send out an unequivocal message that rape is always 100% the rapist's fault.

In his summing up, Judge Parry stated that the victim had “consumed too much alcohol and took drugs” prior the attack. He added “but she also had the misfortune of meeting [Anthony Parry].”
ReplyDeleteHis Lordship is 100% correct. If she had been sober and aware, this grub could not commit the offence/s
When are you people going to learn, the judicial criticism does not blame the victim of rape. Only a rapist is responsible and to blame
Nick Parry is not his lordship he is merely a crown court judge who was formerly a solicitor.
DeleteMany children are plied with drink and drugs as his Honour well knows before they are raped. . Of course His honour would blame the children and indeed has done so in the past.
This young lady was a teenager the rapist was old enough to be her father.
But you can expect no justice from a legal professional like Parry who was himself acused by victims of Bryn Estyn of rape.
Were you at the court case? No you were not! If you were then you would have heard about the actions of the victim that led to this (going back to a known drug dealers house, requesting drugs, and getting wasted). I am not for one minute saying that it was the victims fault however, what the judge said was correct - if she hadn't placed herself in the position in the first place then it would have never happened. The judge was clearly serving a warning to other women that this can happen if you do not take care of yourself! Do not comment on the situation unless you are aware of the full story!
ReplyDeleteWere you? No matter what this girl did she is a victim. This could have happened whether she was drunk or not.
DeleteA rape is a rape. The FILTH RAPIST is one hundred percent GUILTY of violating and attacking a defenseless innocent VICTIM.
ReplyDeleteEvery rape is a kidnapping. The victim has been stolen, seized, held against their will and horribly violated and sexually attacked. In the Bible, God gave the DEATH SENTENCE for kidnapping.
Bible, Exodus 21:16 "He who kidnaps a man, whether he sells him or he is found in his possession, shall surely be put to death."
Protect innocents! DEATH SENTENCE FOR ALL RAPISTS IN ALL COUNTRIES!
Well, I wonder. So if children are raped by pedophiles who ply them with alcohol and drugs are the children then at fault. I think you should step down as a judge because you are clearly prejudicial towards sex crimes victims. If something like this happened to you would you blame yourself????
