Jimmy Savile was born in the Leeds suburb of Burley and maintained a home in the city all of his adult life. He first achieved local hard-man notoriety as DJ/Manager of the Mecca Locarno dance halls in Leeds and Wakefield, which became a springboard for national fame. First as presenter on the iconic Top of the Pops show and, later, the equally famous Jim’ll Fix It BBC programme.
He is now, of course, the country’s most notorious paedophile and rapist. It is difficult to keep track of the exact number of assaults that have taken place, but it is expected to top 500 in the foreseeable future. 34 victims, some of them with multiple allegations, are (or were) West Yorkshire based. Yet, not one of these serious crimes was ever recorded or investigated by the police.
Savile, incredibly, operated under the noses of his local Force for over 50 years. Staggering, and very hurtful, to the victims and their families, but true. He was first interviewed as a suspect in 1959 but miraculously evaded detection for all that time since. Indeed, his Friday Morning Club, hosted at his Roundhay penthouse (pictured top right), included nine serving/retired police officers. His ‘insurance’ as he liked to call it.
Only two police officers have so far been identified as a regular at those meetings, retired Inspector Mick Starkey (pictured with Savile top left) and Wetherby NPT Sergeant Matt Appleyard (left in centre picture).
It is imperative that the rest of them are identified. The public have to be made aware who knew what, about Savile, within West Yorkshire Police. Savile claimed that Inspector Starkey was ‘his personal bodyguard’ so he has much to tell. He is one of two suspects that we have identified for the role of ‘Inspector 5′ referred to in the Operation Yewtree report.
Starkey was working in the Force Incident Room at the notorious Killingbeck police station the material time (June 2009) but, we believe, as what is known as a 30+ civilian, having retired from police service as an Inspector a short time before. The other suspect is a serving DCI based in Leeds.
Two other Wetherby NPT members, past and present are due to be named in our Rogue Officers section. PI Marcus Griffiths (Appleyard’s boss during his time at Wetherby) and PC Stephen Lane. Wetherby is known in West Yorkshire Police circles as the punishment posting for the hopeless and the hapless.
A significant connection has also emerged with the Danny Major miscarriage of justice. We now have confirmed knowledge that PS Appleyard worked at Leeds Bridewell when colleague, ex PC Major, was ‘fitted-up’ and wrongly sent to prison. Bit of a laddo, our Matt.
There are also very disturbing allegations surfacing that some West Yorkshire Police officers were taking bribes from Savile to keep quiet about assaults on young girls. (Read more here) For clarity, there is nothing to connect any of the officers named on this page with those allegations.
We must also put in the mix seven paedophiles inside West Yorkshire Police (read here) that may be only the tip of the iceberg uPSD are committed to exposing child abusers in that Force and we will post updates below.
Though Savile’s closeness to Leeds and Wetherby police will raise many eyebrows, the hapless Independent Police Complaints Commission has no plans to investigate. “We have not, at present, received any complaints from individuals adversely affected, or referrals of conduct issues from police forces in connection with Jimmy Savile,” said an IPCC press office spokesman.
Not at all unsurprisingly, a West Yorkshire Police press spokesman said: “We have reviewed all contact relating to Jimmy Savile, and there is no evidence to suggest any wrong-doing.”
Well let us help you there Mr West Yorkshire Police Press Office spokesman. Allow us to send in a couple of our uPSD detectives and see whether that still holds true. You must think we were all born yetserday.

On Friday 11th January the extent and detail of the sex offending of Savile was laid bare in a report  ‘Giving Victims a Voice’
The failings and/or cover up of West Yorkshire Police is brutally exposed with 34 cases of serious sexual assault now recorded in their policing area. The majority of these are at hospitals and other health institutions which included an assault on a dying 14 year old at Wheatfields Hospice in Leeds.
Other key points from the Report are: The earliest recorded Savile offence was in 1955 with the most recent in 2009. His offending was most frequent during the period 1966-1976 when he was between 40 and 50 years old. Reports of offences at the Leeds hospitals spanned more than 30 years, from 1965-1995.
Savile’s youngest victim was an eight-year-old boy. The oldest was 47. Most were aged 13-16.  73% of his victims were under 18 and 82% were female. Offences were mainly opportunistic sexual assaults, but there are others where an element of grooming or planning was said to have occurred. Victims recorded crimes including 126 indecent acts and 34 rape or penetration offences.
It is a tale of unimagineable horror yet there are significant numbers of past and present West Yorkshire Police knew of many allegations against him and chose to look the other way. Or worst still, covered up for him. An unnamed inspector from West Yorkshire Police also contacted Surrey Police to confirm “that he was known personally to Savile and that Savile gets many of these complaints”.

In a list of rogue West Yorkshire Police officers, Detective Inspective Damian Carr has to be at, or near, the very top. Joining Professional Standards around five years ago he features on an alarmingly lengthy list of cases.
Recurring features of his investigations are two-fold. He is not very bright and he is thoroughly dishonest. He also has on his CV the fact that his bag-carrier and partner in crime for four years was none other than convicted paedophile, Michael Vause.
Carr has featured in a number of high-profile cases where the Force ‘needs a result’ and his willingness to break the law in frustrating complainants/litigants against the police has placed him in a position of ‘protected status’ amongst his peers and, most crucially, the Command Team of West Yorkshire Police. He also appears free to laugh in the face of Police Authority (now PCC) Chief Executive, Fraser Sampson.
Cases in which Carr has been investigating officer include the death after custody of Mark Camm, complaints following the FTS software misappropriation case by ex-Supt Trevor Fordy of Northumbria Police, the nationally-known Danny Major miscarriage of justice and, more recently, the well publicised Police Assault cases of Wakefield businessman, Tony Ramsden, who was assaulted by police at Elland Road football ground and Huddersfield businessman Mr Steve Bradbury who has also been assaulted by police no less than three times.
Mr Ramsden is so incensed by Carr’s blatant dishonesty that he is contemplating taking out a private prosecution against him. Meanwhile the West Yorkshire Police ACPO Command Team, who have sanctioned  and, in some cases encouraged,the actions of Carr now lie completely compromised.

UPSD were responsible for unmasking West Yorkshire Police paedophile, DC Michael Vause. Working with the Yorkshire Post‘s Rob Waugh we were able to propagate this news story. Without that publicity, Vause would have disappeared into retirement with his vile tendencies unknown to the wider public. Indeed, it became apparent only very recently that residents in the tiny village of Wentbridge, Pontefract where Vause lived, at the time of his conviction, were blissfully unaware they had a child abuser in their midst. Mainly due to the local Pontefract & Castleford Express newspaper steadfastly refusing to cover the story of the second convicted Pontefract police paedophile in the past few years.
A CID detective for most of his career, Vause ended up in the police Professional Standards Department investigating other suspected paedophiles, would you believe? One of those West Yorkshire Police officers he investigated, a Police Band member, was alleged to have abused his own child. The accusations were made by the suspect’s own wife, but he was cleared by Vause. The same Band playing officer also perjured himself at Crown Court in Bradford but faced no action from his own Force.
During a Section 18 search of a fellow police officer’s home, Vause removed a CD containing images of young children. Those were nephews and nieces of the officer under suspicion. Despite strenuous requests for an audit trail of the precise movements of that CD whilst in Vause’s possession his PSD protectors have steadfastly refused to provide comfort that Vause still does not hold a copy of that CD. They were aided and abetted in that deceit both by West Yorkshire Police Authority to whom the officer turned to for help and Force Solicitor and Police Band member, Mike Percival. The latter-named will also feature in the Rogue Solicitors area of our site.
A third West Yorkshire Police paedophile was arrested after child images were found on his computer.  A criminal file was prepared for the CPS but no charges were preferred and the inspector (a former custody sergeant in Wakefield) was allowed to retire on full pension. uPSD are aware of the identity of this individual and our enquiries continue.
The fourth and fifth West Yorkshire Police paedophiles are named as ex-PC’s Christopher Snow and Michael Conlon.
Snow of Headingley, Leeds was jailed in 2011. He was sent down for 3 years and nine months, for a string of sex offences against children, including inciting a child into sexual activity. He was already the subject of a child sexual offences restraining order. He had resigned from the police after the first set of offences came to light in 2006. Judge Christopher Batty described Snow as ‘devious in his grooming of teenage girls’. The children were aged between 13 and 15.
Conlon was sent down for making and possessing indecent child images, grooming and attempting sexual activity with a child. Jailing Conlon for two-and -a-half years, The Recorder of Leeds, Judge Peter Collier QC told him: “It’s aggravated because you used the fact you were a police officer to build some measure of trust.” Conlon served five years with West Yorkshire Police, ending in 2009.
Conlon was based at Killingbeck police station, the same location as Inspector Mick Starkey (see Jimmy Savile paedophile news page here). We cannot let the mention of Starkey pass without mentioning Sergeant, and now infamous ‘Blobby Bobby’, Matt Appleyard, another paedophile and rapist protector who is still a serving officer at the notorious Wetherby NPT (more on them here).
Killingbeck was also where one of the the infamous and illicit trysts between Rogue Officers  DCI Elizabeth Belton and C/Supt Ian Whitehouse took place and the base of most of the bent West Yorkshire Police officers involved in the huge, and now notorious, Operation Douglas corruption scandal.
The latest additions to West Yorkshire Police’s roll of shame are historic but nonetheless significant as they involve former police officers who did not have their names listed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
A disgraced Halifax police officer, who was stationed at Richmond Close Police Station, sexually abused a young girl and was jailed for four years at Leeds Crown Court in Febuary 2004. Peter Newton had served with West Yorkshire Police for more than 29 years admitted six offences of indecent assault against the girl who was aged 11 when the offences began.
Newton was not put on the Sex Offenders’ Register for life and his name will be removed next year unless the decision is challenged.  He had abused the girl over a period of four years. When Newton first groped and kissed the girl, she was too frightened to tell anyone. The nature of the offending got progressively worse including touching the girl’s private parts and simulating a sex act with her. Newton’s offending came to light when the abused girl confided in a teacher. Passing sentence, Mr Justice Wakerley said the case represented an enormous breach of trust.
West Yorkshire Police probationary officer, Simon Dagger, downloaded pictures of naked children from an American pornography site and was snared by police in the Operation Ore crackdown on internet child pornography. Appearing at Leeds Crown Court in April 2003, 24-year-old Dagger, from Pontefract, wept when he was told he would not be jailed for having around 45 indecent images of children stored on his computer. DC Mick Vause (see above) was also from Pontefract and, like Vause, Dagger received a three-year Community Rehabilitation Order with a condition of attendance on a sex-offender treatment programme.
The Court was told that Dagger accessed the child images from a ‘library’ of around 8,000 photographs stored on the computer. The vast majority were legal adult material with a handful of images involving children falling into the most serious category. He admitted five sample charges of possessing indecent images of children and was ordered to sign the sex-offender register for five years (ending 2008).
Dagger was adamant that he didn’t get any sexual gratification from these images and it was his curiosity which spiraled out of control. Paedophile Vause also produced the same excuse with his famous line to the Judge: ‘Curiosity killed the cat, Ma’am’
Throughout this process of exposing West Yorkshire Police child abusers we have been obstructed at every turn by West Yorkshire Police and their co-conspirators at the Police Authority but this is an issue of massive public interest and  importance, particularly in the light of Jimmy Savile operating unfettered in Leeds for over 40 years by his local police force. New Police & Crime Commissioner, Mark Burns-Williamson, occupied the Chairman’s seat at the now defunct and disgraced West Yorkshire Police Authority during the entire period when these paedophiles have been exposed and has, on the face of it, chosen to look the other way.
Burns-Williamson’s Vice Chair was dodgy long term Leeds City Councillor and ex-Mayor of Leeds, Les Carter. What did he know about Jimmy Savile’s rape and paedophile activities over the entire 40 years he has been a Councillor. Nothing at all, Mr Carter?



The Professional standards departments within Police Forces  in the UK has been subverted to act  to alert the police of troublemakers.  The Rouge Criminal Organisation  within the police  have placed their own people at the top of the heap and paedophiles are not only the most ruthless and amoral but they can be ordered to do anything.

  Police Officers, mainly from Yorkshire,  to be questioned as to the extent of their collusion with  Paedophile and serial criminal trading in child sex slaves  Jimmy Savile.  However  their seems little chance that these officers will be investigated. Yorkshire Police are keen to cover-up  the extent that their officers aided Jimmy Savile.

 

Police Officers assisted Savile  so that he could abuse children and procure  them  for the rich and powerful. The officers who visited Savile every Friday Morning for 20 years are without morals.

 

Savile who was close friends with many senior police officers was  particularly close to the Yorkshires Fraud Squads and  linked fraud offices  Why the Fraud Squads   and Serious Fraud Office has yet to be discovered

An expensive onyx table lighter was inscribed: “To Jimmy Savile from his friends at the Fraud Squad.”  They bought this for their  friend Jimmy  by defrauding the Tax Payer.  He was also  given a truncheon and handcuffs as a present. The Handcuffs may have been used during  the abuse of children.

COPS who visited Jimmy Savile’s penthouse for tea parties dubbed the “Friday Morning Club” are to be quizzed over their links to the paedo DJ.

Up to nine serving and retired officers were part of his inner circle who met at his pad every week for over 20 YEARS.
Many were apparently on duty at the time.
It comes as another cop from the same West Yorkshire force is probed for allegedly acting for Savile before other officers quizzed him over sex claims in 2009.
Police yesterday confirmed they are investigating the get-togethers in Roundhay, Leeds. They said there was no evidence of wrong-doing.
Savile, who died in 2011, is said to have abused 450 youngsters.

West Yorkshire police to quiz officers who attended Friday gatherings at disgraced BBC presenter's penthouse in Leeds

Serving police officers who took part in disgraced BBC presenter Jimmy Savile's "breakfast club" meetings at his home are to be quizzed by West Yorkshire police, the force has confirmed.
Police said on Thursday they had "identified some individuals who were in the so-called Friday Morning Breakfast Club", a weekly gathering of the late Top of the Pops host's friends at his Leeds penthouse.
In October, West Yorkshire police said they had no information about officers attending the gathering but that they were free to do what they wished when off duty.

 The meetings are believed to have run for around 20 years at Savile's penthouse, which recently sold for £75,000 below the £325,000 asking price.  So no proceeds of crime investigation then?  Guess with friends in the  Yorkshire Fraud squad and Serious Fraud Office that is out of the Question.

It is all totally despicable.  

Jersey Deputies reveal corrupt Administration run by Paedophiles

Deputy Shona Pitman and Deputy Trevor Pitman have joined with Senator Stuart Syvret to condemn the Paedophile run Jersey Administration.   They also say that Westminster must be complicit in the corruption in Jersey.

Yesterday  the Pitmans  made a Press release  exposing  corruption within the  Jersey Administration and Legal System. 



Jersey is a microcosm of the same corrupt  UK system and it is well worth studying how they operate in the small island of Jersey because the system is exactly the same.

Two Members of Jersey’s Parliament have today called for the UK government – which has overall responsibility to ensure ‘good governance’ in the Channel Islands - to urgently investigate what they describe as the ‘spiralling evidence of the wide-spread breakdown of law within the island’s justice system.’

Child Abuse Scandal

The Deputies say that ‘justice in the island’ (which came under the global spotlight with the unfolding of the ‘institutional’ child abuse scandal in 2008) ‘is being betrayed by a mixture of top level incompetence, corruption and intimidation. Much of this being a direct reaction from those in the island’s Establishment desperate to bury any dissenting opposition to getting to the truth about decades of child abuse cover-ups.’

‘Far from ensuring justice for the people of Jersey our Law Office has become the tool of choice for the clique at the apex of power to try to silence and, if necessary, drive from office or ruin those who dare challenge the established order; or persist in fighting the cause of the ever-growing number of people coming forward to complain of corruption; whether relating to child abuse or abuse of the legal process.’

This has already seen the former Chief of Police (the initiating officer of the child abuse investigations), Mr. Graham Power QPM forced from office by an illegal suspension that failed to result in any disciplinary charges. It has also seen a former Health Minister, at the centre of revelations about the abuse, ousted; and currently being silenced by a blatant misuse of the Data Protection Law within ‘top secret’ Royal Court hearings – all being paid for out of the tax coffers. Files and records relating to children abused within the Jersey care system have conveniently ‘gone missing’ from within both the Police system and government departments. Evidenced cases against abusers have inexplicably not been pursued by the island’s Law Office.

Banning of US Journalist

This manipulation of justice has even seen the contrived banning of a respected US journalist, Leah McGrath Goodman, from the island once it became apparent she was researching child abuse cover-ups and the island links to Jimmy Savile. A ban only lifted following the intervention of UK MP John Hemming and an international petition campaign initiated by Deputy Trevor Pitman himself.  Trevor Pitman states that along with two other political ‘backbench’ colleagues the number of complaints alleging corruption received from members of the public has reached deeply disturbing proportions in recent months.

Legal System - Corruption

These complaints have included alleged tampering with court transcripts; destruction of and refusal to look at evidence; inconsistency in sentencing; and even perjury and collusion between lawyers. The recently leaked 'Barton Report' of a disciplinary hearing involving police at the centre of the illegal bugging allegations in the ‘Drug Baron’ Curtis Warren case even revealed claims of falsified and unsigned statements being presented instead of original documents.

Yet the Deputies say the cold, hard evidence of the justice system being in desperate need of external investigation; and the depth of the obstacles facing victims of the cover-ups was only brought home to them after they pursued the island’s only, and hugely influential, pro-establishment newspaper, the Jersey Evening Post to court for defamation along with one of its millionaire clients. The newspaper and its estate agent client Broadlands had mocked the couple after Trevor Pitman’s election, falsely claiming they had increased their salary four-fold by entering politics when in reality they had taken a drop in income of thousands.

Jurat Supports Paedophile in Previous Job as Vice-Principle

‘It was shocking enough given the evidence that we then found ourselves losing the case,’ say the Deputies; ‘we subsequently then discovered that the Senior Jurat (lay judge) John Le Breton had been allowed by the Bailiff’s Office to sit in judgement of the case even though he was a personal friend of the newspaper’s longest-serving Director; the two regularly socialising together and even going to dinner at each other’s home. All of this being evidenced’.

An even bigger shock for the Deputies was the subsequent leaking of a government suppressed report (the 1999 Sharp Report) into another horrific child abuse scandal at the island’s Victoria College (an exclusive ‘fee-paying’ secondary school).  The report revealed that John Le Breton, as Vice Principle had refused to look at evidence against a friend and colleague, the predatory paedophile, Andrew Jervis-Dykes. 

He instead wrote in support of him claiming amongst other things that: Jervis-Dykes had served the College in an ‘outstandingly competent and conscientious way’; that unless police decided to prosecute, the abuse would be seen as ‘an unsubstantiated allegation’. Le Breton even appealed for the paedophile to be allowed to stay on at the school and if he had to resign be allowed to do so with ‘some dignity’. Incredibly Le Breton was put forward for the Jurat role by a politician who was both on the College’s Board of Governors at the time and a former president of the government’s Education Committee!’

The Deputies add, ‘when you bring this to the attention of the Chief Minister, Bailiff (Head of Judiciary and Legislature) and Deputy Bailiff, where both Crown Officers just happen to also be friends of the Jurat in question - you are told: ‘if you don’t like it – appeal’.  The Crown Officers know full well, that the above information not only came to light after our case and has implications far beyond this alone; but that it would necessitate at least another £30,000: monies that most ordinary people do not have.

Jurat Le Breton was allowed to sit by two successive Bailiff’s for a period of 14 years – including sitting on some child abuse cases until retiring just after the Pitman’s’ case. ‘This demonstrates just how unfit for purpose Jersey’s system of election and monitoring of Jurats is’, says Deputy Shona Pitman, adding ‘how in the 21^st Century can Jurats be elected in secret by only politicians and lawyers – many of whom will regularly be friends of those proposed?’

UK Justice Minister fails obligations of good governance

Yet even with the backing of around a dozen equally appalled fellow politicians and prominent justice campaigners, the Deputies say that the injustice they have been dealt is as yet failing to be adequately dealt with as it should by the UK justice Ministry. ‘The evidence in our case is overwhelming,’ say the Deputies, ‘just as it is in many other cases. Yet even when presented with all of the details (as outlined above) and letters of support from other concerned public figures, the excuse from Lord McNally has been that as “Jersey has its own justice system we can’t really interfere’’ (see enclosed correspondence).

‘Most absurd of all perhaps’, add the Deputies, ‘is that ‘the Justice Minister instead offers to ‘forward our concerns’ to the Bailiff – the very individual who has allowed all of this to happen! What this shows is the deeply troubling attitude to justice from those holding power within the justice system here and the UK Minister responsible for ‘good governance’ in a small and apparently ‘insignificant’ jurisdiction’.

‘At the bottom line’, conclude the Deputies, ‘if these failings are allowed to continue, if successive Bailiffs and other Crown Officers can allow an individual who refused to look at evidence against a predatory paedophile yet supported him – to sit as a Jurat for 14 years; including on subsequent cases of abuse what hope, we ask, have the victims of Jimmy Savile and the Haut de la Garenne child abuse scandal of getting justice here? What hope has any ordinary citizen who rocks the Establishment boat? The answer must be a resounding none. It is time the UK government stepped up to the plate and fulfilled its obligations. SENATOR STUART SYVRET

Stuart Syvret, a  Jersey Senator, has campaigned tirelessly  to protect the rights of children in Jersey  and expose the paedophiles   who are  run  Jersey's legal and administrative system. 



Like every investigator and campaigner against VIP paedophiles Stuart was arrested  on 6 April 2009, ten police officers went to Syvret's home, where they arrested him and carried out an extensive search of the property.   Stuart Syvret was held in custody for seven hours and questioned about alleged breaches of Jersey data protection law and ------ wait for it a motoring offence. 

 On 18 June 2009, Syvret appeared before at the Magistrate's Court charged with driving without a valid licence between September 2006 and April 2008.   The Police must have searched hard and long to come up with this serious charge.

  On 9 July 2009, Syvret was charged with breaches of data protection laws 

 On 14 October 2010, Stuart Syvret was convicted by the Magistrate's Court of the motoring offences, when the Assistant Magistrate criticized the police as overreacting in the way they arrested Syvret. On 17 November 2010, the court found Syvret guilty of the data protection offences and guilty of contempt of court on account of his non-attendance and words of disrespect. Syvret was  jailed for ten weeks, fined £4,200 and ordered to pay  the prosecutions costs of £10,000.
