A new book 'Just a Child' by Sammy Woodhouse, which rocketed to number 1 on Amazon, has made child abuse a dinner table subject.
Thanks to Sammy who was a trafficked child in Rotherham child abuse is being talked about everywhere for the first time.
The reality and horror of children's lives ripped to shreds by abusers. Police, Courts and lawmakers has become a subject which people are now able to face.
Sammy Woodhouse was just 14 when she met Ash Hussain. Ten years older, he promised to take care of her. Sammy thought she was in love, but in reality she was being groomed by a ringleader of Britain's most notorious child sex ring.
Just A Child tells the heartbreaking story of how a young girl from Rotherham was abused by her drug-dealing 'boyfriend', eventually giving birth to his baby, right under the nose of the very authorities who were meant to protect her. When reality dawned and Sammy realised she was one of countless vulnerable child victims - many of whom were trafficked around the north of England - she took it upon herself to blow the whistle and save others from a similar fate.
Thanks to Sammy's bravery, the gang was fully exposed, as well as the authorities that did little to help her. Her shocking account of how these events came to pass will enrage and sadden but, above all, it will offer hope and show why this must never happen again.

Travelling to the big city to escape The Troubles in his native Northern Ireland, Anthony Daly accepted a job in Foyles Bookshop and began a new life in England. However, his naivety saw him quickly fall foul of predators, looking for young men to blackmail and sexually exploit.
After years of hiding the secret of his abuse at the hands of some of the most influential men in the country, Anthony’s trauma became harder to contain as he witnessed revelations of historic abuse coming to light on TV and in newspapers. Then, finally his lost voice ripped through the safe family life he had built over 40 years.
The first in this trilogy of child abuse exposures was released in December 2017.
