And as the recent grooming cases have demonstrated they haven't improved - in the recent grooming cases abused kids were referred to, by the very people who were supposed to be protecting them, as 'slags' who made a lifestyle choice - a staggering dereliction of duty!

I'm sorry to say it, but people who work in LA's look down their neglectful noses on troubled children, view them as a waste of space or lost cause (I have heard it). Money is their God, and they are farming kids out to private companies which are not in the kids best interests but, of course, they get the best financial deal. It's a business just as it is in the elderly care system - a national disgrace.

LA's are downright negligent and unfit for purpose when it comes to the care of children and those who have been negligent in their duties should be prosecuted. IMO anyone one who has access to children in care should be subject to the same level of scrutiny as those who wish to adopt a child. Paedophiles gravitate towards jobs where they have access to children and CRB checks are, for the most part, useless because most child abusers do not have criminal records - Even that level of scrutiny will not weed out all paedophiles but at least it will go some way to improving matters.
